Cowboys vs. Eagles prediction market preview

It’s not always sunny in Philadelphia. The Eagles will be without starting quarterback Jalen Hurts (blood clots) for the remainder of the season. There is a glimmer of hope in that RB1 Saquon Barkley (hamstring) could be back in the lineup for the Eagles on MNF.

On paper, this looks like a nice opportunity for Dallas to get its season going in the right direction. Philadelphia’s pass defense is suspect, ranking 26th in the NFL and allowing 244.5 yards per game through the air.

Dallas QB Dak Prescott can exploit the Philadelphia secondary with wide receivers CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens. The last time these two teams met, Pickens went off for nine catches, 146 yards, and a touchdown.

Tanner McKee has been pressed into duty to replace Hurts. McKee was serviceable in his first start against Carolina last week, with 215 passing yards, one TD pass, and no picks. Without Barkley and no semblance of a running game, 78.7% of Philly’s plays were pass attempts against the Panthers.

McKee could have more success against a Dallas defense that ranks 30th in the league. The Cowboys have allowed 386.8 yards a game and 18 TDs on the season.

Barkley’s availability effectiveness could go a long way in determining the outcome of this game. In the two games he’s missed, Philadelphia has run for just 22 and 35 yards, respectively. The Eagles can’t be so one-dimensional on offense if they hope to emerge with a win.

Cowboys vs. Eagles player props on Kalshi

In addition to game markets, Kalshi also offers several player props to trade on MNF. These markets include:

  • Anytime TDs

  • Passing TDs

  • Passing Yards

  • Receiving Yards

  • Rushing Yards

As mentioned, Pickens eviscerated the Eagles the last time out. Lamb will likely command the lion’s share of attention from the Philadelphia secondary. Pickens will have the opportunity to rack up his receiving yards.

The Dallas defense has been the team’s Achilles heel for two seasons running now. McKee doesn’t have a lot of experience as a starting quarterback, but he’ll have the luxury of playing against one of the NFL’s worst defenses. At 37%, the risk-reward prospect for him to have 2+ passing TDs pays out $270 on a $100 trade.
